What is trending in wedding music?
Personalization. We encourage our couples to select music that is a reflection of who they are! Some of our very popular songs are classics, movie themes, or other songs on the radio. All of them have a beautiful and emotional melody that is sure to pull some heart strings and invite some happy tears.
Classics: Over the Rainbow, Can’t Help Falling In Love With You
Movie Themes: Who Is She (from the new Cinderella movie), The Ludlows
Other: A Thousand Years, Gabriel’s Oboe

Tips for wedding music.
During your walk through of your venue, keep in mind the placement of the musicians for the ceremony. If it’s an outdoor wedding, consider the temperature, humidity, and direct sunlight, not just for the musicians, but also for your guests! Musicians with wooden instruments (like a violin or cello) react to heat, cold, and humidity. Heat and humidity makes the wood swell (just like your hands swell when you’re hot!) and the instruments can go out of tune or even pop a string (a keyboard will overheat and stop working). For this reason, placing your musicians in the shade is crucial! In fact, most musicians will refuse to perform in the sun. They’ll also need to be close enough to the wedding so that guests can hear the music while having a direct line of sight to the coordinator for cues. And don’t forget that sound doesn’t travel as well through humidity. For outdoor weddings, we especially recommend having a larger ensemble (trio or quartet) so that the music will be full and dramatic since there aren’t usually natural acoustics unless a sound system is provided.

When selecting musicians for your ceremony and cocktail hour, you want more than a person who can play a song. You’re going to want someone who is professional and who takes their job and your wedding seriously! The musicians playing the music while guests are being seated also double as entertainment (in a way) since they are typically sitting close to the front for all to see. Do they enjoy playing music? Are they confident? Are they having a good time? Do they sound good? Do they look professional? Ask yourself these questions when searching for the best musicians to fit your wedding!
