And Then There Were Three! (Mint to Be)
Photography by Yah Photography
Good morning and happy sunny Thursday! :)
Today I am extra excited because I get to share our fun headshots AND officially introduce our newest mint girl, Lydia!
Now, if you know me, you know that I can never just do anything "normal" or "half-ass." I always go big/fun. Period. So, when it was time for us to do new headshots, my creative juices started brewing!
About two years ago, we were working a wedding with Nectar Floral Design. When Karisa, the owner, rolled up (in their awesome floral she-truck!) she shouted out, "Hey! It's the Mint Girls!" - I immediately loved that and began calling us it too in an effort for it to catch on (and it did!).
Along with us officially becoming known as the "mint girls," my inspiration for this fun shoot actually just randomly popped in my head when I was thinking about the movie Grease! I thought, "It would be so much fun to do the "Pink Ladies" jackets but in "Mint Girls." And my fabulous and sweet boyfriend bought me a Cricut machine for Christmas that I was still dying to find time to use! Ta-da!!! Mint girls jackets, made with love by yours truly.
We also did the pretty, typical sweet headshots for the website, which Kelli knocked out of the park! Cali Stott Artistry was SO SWEET to do our hair and makeup for our headshots and really helped us feel and look our best for the shoot!
Now to the main reason for our fun shoot... WE HAVE A NEW LEAD COORDINATOR!! Woooh.
Mint to Be Weddings has been beyond blessed to have been in business for four full years and to be going into our fourth wedding season this year. We have experienced enough growth to add on another lead coordinator, Lydia!
Lydia actually went to Appalachian State University with Brittany and I AND was in our sorority, Sigma Kappa! When she reached out to interview and apply for the position, we were so excited to reconnect and catch up, at the very least. After all was said and done, she was the perfect fit and it was "Mint to Be!" (oh, I so love doing that!)
If you haven't met my girl, Brittany, well you're about to be blown away! Brittany has been with me/Mint to Be Weddings since our first actual wedding (and season) in 2016!
As a lot of you probably know, we met at Appalachian State University, as a part of Sigma Kappa Sorority. Brittany began as an assistant with me and helped me grow within my business and grow personally. She has been my rock, righthand and a best friend over the past three years and I am beyond blessed to have her not only as a part of our team, but also in life! She is a fantastic lead coordinator brings joy and laughter on wedding days!
Brittany is basically superwoman. She is not only is a fabulous wedding coordinator, but also a teacher (in high school!), a wonderful mother to her sweet son (Levi), a spiritual warrior, AND even does fun and beautiful handwritten signs in her spare time (which, I don't know how she even has spare time). You can spy her talented signs at most of our weddings, where she custom makes them onsite!
And then there is me, which makes three! :)
I am Caroline, the owner and third coordinator of Mint to Be Weddings. I have had a passion for events ever since I was little and it was in college that my passion for weddings blossomed. I majored in Communications, Public Relations for "event coordination" and minored in entrepreneurship to one day start my own business. I obtained an assistant coordinator internship as a sophomore and I fell inlove with the wedding industry! I worked under two coordinators and a resort assisting with weddings all over the High Country for 3 years during college before returning home to Charlotte. I established my business in January of 2015 and have loved every step of the way!

HUGE shout out and "thank you" to Kelli with Yah Photography! Kelli is also someone very near and dear to my heart. She reached out to me as soon as I started my business (way back in 2015) to connect and has been a constant and true support and friend ever since.
Alright, now for the fun photos!!! Enjoy :)
